Your Treatment Journey:

1. Whole- Body Assessment

To begin, we’ll ask you to complete a few simple forms and a detailed health questionnaire. This helps us gain a clear understanding of your current health and any concerns you may have.

Next, your chiropractor will take the time to discuss your health history, lifestyle, and goals. This is followed by a comprehensive full-body assessment, which may include:

  • Orthopaedic testing

  • Neurological evaluation

  • Chiropractic examination

  • Digital posture analysis

If clinically appropriate, we may also recommend X-rays, which we’ll arrange through a trusted external provider.

All of this information allows us to create a personalised care plan tailored to your unique needs. We’ll review your results and discuss next steps with you at your follow-up visit—ensuring you’re fully informed and comfortable moving forward.

2. Report of Findings

At this visit, your chiropractor will carefully explain the results of your assessment—what they mean for your health, and how they relate to your symptoms and overall well-being.

From there, we’ll walk you through a personalised care plan designed specifically for you. This may include:

  • Chiropractic adjustments

  • Targeted exercises

  • Practical lifestyle recommendations

Our goal is to support both your recovery and your long-term health.

This is also a great time to ask questions, share any concerns, and make sure you feel fully informed and confident about your care plan. Once everything is clearly understood and agreed upon, you’ll receive your first chiropractic adjustment—the beginning of your journey toward better health.

We’re here to guide you every step of the way.

3. Regular Adjustments

Following your personalised care plan, your chiropractic treatments are designed to restore proper alignment, improve movement, and support your body’s natural healing.

Your chiropractor will use a variety of techniques tailored to your needs, which may include:

  • Hands-on spinal adjustments to realign the vertebrae

  • Gentle methods for more sensitive areas

  • Targeted approaches to relieve tension and enhance function

At first, visits may be more frequent to address underlying issues, reduce discomfort, and help your body begin to stabilise. As your health improves, appointments are gradually spaced out to support ongoing progress and help strengthen your results. You may also receive exercises or lifestyle advice to enhance your recovery between visits.

Consultation and Examination Appointment

The initial phase of the consultation is an information gathering exercise, which will take about 15 minutes, before you see one of our chiropractors.

We will then discuss your medical history and current health with you before undertaking a physical examination which will include:

  • Digital postural analysis
  • Orthopaedic tests
  • Nerve tests
  • Muscle tests
  • Motion pattern tests
  • Chiropractic tests

MRI and X-ray images are seldom necessary but, if they are, we will refer you to a separate and independent imaging centre where they will charge you directly for this.

This thorough consultation and examination helps our chiropractors create a personalised care plan tailored to your needs, ensuring you receive the best possible care. Your individual care plan will be discussed at your next appointment, called the Report of Findings, where you can choose to begin treatment if appropriate.

Should you choose to start treatment after the Report of Findings, it will be charged at the current Chiropractic Adjustment rate.

Report of Findings Appointment

During a chiropractic Report of Findings visit, your chiropractor reviews the results of your
consultation and physical exams, to help the explain the probable causes of your symptoms.

They provide a customised care plan, which includes recommended adjustments, rehab exercises, and lifestyle changes. The chiropractor explains the anticipated benefits, such as reduced pain, improved mobility, and overall better well-being and possible risks.

They also select appropriate techniques to minimise any potential risks, like using gentler methods for conditions such as osteoporosis. Rehab exercises are often recommended to strengthen the muscles supporting your spine, helping to maintain the benefits of your
adjustments.

Additionally, the chiropractor may suggest lifestyle changes, such as posture improvements or ergonomic adjustments, to support long-term health.

This visit allows you to ask questions and understand how chiropractic care, combined with these additional strategies, can help you before your decide if you want to proceed to receive treatment which will be charged for at the current rate.

Regular Adjustment Appointments

During a chiropractic adjustment visit, the chiropractor has a choice of techniques to address spinal misalignments, muscle tension, and joint dysfunction. Each technique is tailored to your needs, ensuring safe and effective care during your visit.

The Diversified technique involves hands-on adjustments, which may produce a “cracking” sound, to restore proper movement to the spine and joints. For those needing a gentler approach, a small handheld instrument may be used to deliver precise, low-force adjustments.

The SOT (Sacro-Occipital Technique) focuses on balancing the connection between the sacrum and skull, helping with spinal alignment and nervous system function.

Trigger Point Therapy targets specific tight areas in muscles, providing relief from muscle knots and tension. The Drop technique uses a special table that gently drops during the adjustment, allowing for a lighter yet effective adjustment.

As an adjunct, Shockwave Therapy may be used to break down scar tissue and improve circulation to affected areas, promoting faster recovery. This is a separate appointment, charged at a higher rate.
